Ten, or was it 11, years ago, when I worked at Steve's bar I produced a news letter called Que?Pasa that was sent out via email every Monday. That's when it started.
As many of you know, after Steve's I opened Sweeney's with Leo (8 years ago). Then I opened Que?Pasa on Olas Altas above Santa Barbara. Later, Michael arrived on the scene. Tons of problems on Olas Altas, and Que?Pasa was moved to Aquiles Serdan.
More problems. The bar was closed for nine months. I walked away.
This and that happened over time and finally the opportunity presented itself, and I became the owner of Sweeney's. Full circle. Back on Olas Altas with a place to use my logo.
The Que?Pasa logo, and the concept you are all familiar with, belong to me and is registered in my name.
Henceforth, the old Sweeney's location is now Que?Pasa. Same great Sweeney´s menu and back to the original Que?Pasa concept. A Bar of Our Own.
